The Jubilee

The Jubilee

“8 And thou shalt number seven Sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and there shall be unto thee the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty and nine years.

9 Then shalt thou make proclamation with the blast of the horn on the tenth day of the seventh month; in the day of atonement shall ye make proclamation with the horn throughout all your land.

10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land unto all the inhabitants thereof; it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

13 In this year of jubilee ye shall return every man unto his possession.

17 And ye shall not wrong one another; but thou shalt fear thy God; for I am YHWH your God.

18 Wherefore ye shall do My statutes, and keep Mine ordinances and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.”

Leviticus 25

First giving praise and honor to the Most High Creator of heaven and earth, whose Spirit gives life and blessings, and to whom all must submit; to all of the Holy Messengers who have come in His name to share His life giving words of Truth and to all those who have stood for and sacrificed on behalf of that Truth, I greet you in love, share with you what I feel to be Truth, and wish for you Peace and Blessings in abundance!

The scriptures quoted above were given to our forefathers by Moses to establish a cycle of mandatory renewal and family concern in the midst of His chosen people. The Jubilee is a command is not arbitrary; no one has the authority to say who it does or does not apply to. A person who has entered into voluntary servitude has no choice but to leave the service of his Master as an indentured servant. Liberty is to be proclaimed throughout the land, not for some, but for all the inhabitants and every man is to be returned to his family and possessions.

The one clear requirement here is that you must be an inhabitant of the land, i.e. your family must live in this land. In the season of the Jubilee, all those who have been separated from their place within the House of Israel, as long as they have family here, that person is automatically returned to the midst of their family. No petition is necessary.

These individuals must understand that they come back with all of the rights, privileges and obligations due a family member, this is inclusive of any previous titles they may have been given or earned before the separation took place. The 10th and 13th verses both state to “return every man unto his possession”; the Hebrew word used for ‘possession’ is אחוזתו, which literally means 'that which he grasps or holds', and titles/positions are clearly “held”. This applies also to anyone who had held a title and that title was taken or lost during the 49 years before the Jubilee; that person is to be given his/her title back.

I feel that these are significant points relative to this Jubilee season that must be understood and adhered to that we receive the promised blessing of safety in our land.

Yours in Divine Servitude,
